Join us for a collaborative community workshop where you can be part of creating an animated film!

Bring a photo of someone who holds significance as an "ancestor" to you—whether they are a chosen family member, a blood relation, or even someone you've never met but feel a connection to, whether living or passed on. We are looking for images from the 1970s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s.

During the workshop, we'll assist you in scanning and digitizing your photo. Your image will become part of an archive celebrating love in Boston, to be featured in our upcoming animated film. Additionally, there will be opportunities for you to contribute your thoughts and expressions of love through writing and drawing, which will enrich the narrative of the film.

This special project, a collaboration between Ujima, Creative Wildfire and Lily Xie, highlights the voices of Ujima members as they explore the themes of ancestral love and the vital role of love in movements of liberation.
