The Boston Ujima Project Inc. is excited to welcome the Black Owned Bos. to the Ujima Good Business Alliance (UGBA).

Black Owned Bos. is a mission-driven business creating pathways to sales, visibility, and opportunity for Black-owned businesses in Greater Boston and beyond. Founded in 2019, Black Owned Bos. has grown from a community resource into a recognized platform connecting Black-owned businesses with consumers, companies, institutions, and opportunities across the region.

Their work spans a public directory of more than 1,700 Black-owned businesses, markets and activations, retail, corporate gifting, media, and strategic services. Through commissioned projects, client engagements, and their own platforms, they create new ways for Black-owned businesses to be discovered, supported, and brought into spaces where they can grow.

In October 2026, our Community Standards Committee extended an invitation to Black Owned Bos to join the UGBA, which they graciously accepted. Joining the Alliance is a rigorous process that involves compliance with our 36 Good Business Standards.

The Community Standards Committee was excited by their outstanding good business practices, including:

  • Voter Engagement: Black Owned Bos. uses social media and voter sticker initiatives to encourage voter engagement.

  • Product or Service Mission: Black Owned Bos. works to increase the visibility and sales for local Black-owned businesses to help close the wealth and opportunity gap.

  • Consumer Feedback Channels: Black Owned Bos. checks reviews and uses live inquiries to get feedback from consumers.

Join us in welcoming Black Owned Bos. to the UGBA!
