UGBA Welcomes Boston While Black

ree

Boston Ujima Project Inc. is excited to welcome Boston While Black to the Ujima Good Business Alliance (UGBA). Boston While Black is a dynamic network of professionals, creatives, community and business leaders, and some of the city’s largest employers—all united by a shared vision: where everyone can find connection, grow their network, explore what the city has to offer, and have fun doing it. They connect through a members only digital platform to build community, connection, discovery, and support. Their goal is to ensure that every corner of the city feels like a place where you belong and can show up fully as yourself.

In October 2025, our Community Standards Committee joyously extended an invitation to Boston While Black to join the UGBA, which they graciously accepted. Joining the Alliance is a rigorous process that involves compliance with our 36 Good Business Standards.

The Community Standards Committee was excited by their outstanding good business practices, including:

  • Civic Engagement: Boston While Black promotes voting and civic engagement by hosting conversations with elected officials and candidates. They also coordinate schedules on election day ensuring everyone has the chance to vote.

  • Consumer Feedback: Boston While Black has bi-annual member surveys, post event surveys, and constant open lines of communication to staff.

Join us in welcoming Boston While Black to the UGBA!
