The Boston Ujima Project Inc. is excited to welcome Athul Krishnadas as our new Policy and Investment Fellow.

Krishnadas is passionate about building fairer, more socially and environmentally conscious financial systems and businesses that serve people and communities. A former financial services professional with experience at Goldman Sachs, Santander Bank, and FIS Global, he is interested in working at the intersection of finance, policy and organizing.

He began his journey with Ujima as a voting member in 2021, motivated by his interest in exploring more socially and environmentally conscious business, finance models, and economic systems. He later became an essential part of our Coalitions, Policy & Grassroots Organizing member team for three years, supporting initiatives around collective study on community-centered economic models, community events and Public Banking advocacy.

Krishnadas comes into this fellowship to further Ujima’s policy advocacy and grassroots organizing efforts by advancing the Massachusetts Public Banking campaign and helping Ujima members and businesses organize around other issues they care about. He will also contribute to Ujima’s investment management process by supporting market research and other investment processes with a particular focus on the restaurant industry.

He is excited to do the work of helping build fairer economic systems alongside the Ujima community and to contribute to the success of Ujima’s fund and its businesses.

Join us in welcoming Athul to the Ujima team!
