Join us in welcoming The Guild as the fifth member of Ujima's Translocal Membership Program!

The Guild is a  BIPOC-led worker co-op focused on community-led real estate development. Started in 2015, it is Atlanta’s first co-living company and space for entrepreneurs, artists, and community organizers that offers accelerators for BIPOC small businesses and real estate developers, small business coaching/consulting, and curated commercial retail, office, and event space. It has since expanded its mission to create a pathway for property ownership.

Through its flagship Groundcover Initiative, the organization aims to seed and develop community-owned and community-controlled real estate models that allow historically exploited communities to collectively steward assets in their neighborhoods, creating pathways to build power, resilience, and self-determination.

The Ujima Translocal Membership is an action-oriented initiative to support peers outside of Boston in getting closer to creating economic democracy ecosystems where they are. Ujima's Translocal Membership is comprised of five components: partnership on Ujima's Quarterly Office Hours, joint fundraising, private organizational 1-on-1 support, whole team check-ins, and ecosystems exchanges. Membership in the Translocal Program is by invitation only.
