Boston Ujima Project Inc. is excited to welcome PureSpark to the Ujima Good Business Alliance (UGBA). PureSpark was born out of Founder Nieisha Deed's passion to help others. Through this organization, she strives to bring hope to those who find themselves in a dark place.
PureSpark uses social media and web interface to provide resources and daily coping mechanisms that would otherwise be out of reach for someone who is unfamiliar with the mental wellness system. While open to providing information for everyone, the organization’s focus is on Black women. Mental illness is often stigmatized in the black community, and it is common for black women to put themselves, as well as their mental wellness, last in order to help others.
In July 2025, our Community Standards Committee joyously extended an invitation to PureSparks to join the UGBA, which they graciously accepted. Joining the Alliance is a rigorous process that involves compliance with our 36 Good Business Standards.
The Community Standards Committee was excited by their outstanding good business practices, including:
Supplier Diversity: Puresparks uses AYM Advertising owned by Martina Wilson, Annielly Camargo Photography, Dante Luna Film & Photography
Product or Service Mission: PureSparks helps black people living in the greater Boston area along on their wellness journey.
Join us in welcoming PureSpark to the UGBA!
